Dr. Alan Littler successfully defended his PhD "Member States versus the European Union: The Regulation of Gambling" at Tilburg University, the Netherlands in December 2009. He then continued as a post-doctoral researcher at Tilburg University and spent autumn 2010 as a visiting research scholar at the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts. His post-doctoral research focused upon the regulation of gambling in relation to; transparency;the GATS, and; consumer protection in transnational contexts. In April 2011 he joined the Gaming Team at VMW Taxand where he is involved with Dutch and European developments in the field. |
