Pablo Hoezen

Pablo Hoezen graduated in Taxation and Economics at the University of Tilburg in 2004. Before joining VMW Taxand in 2009, he worked for the international indirect tax practice of Deloitte in Amsterdam from 2005 up to 2009. Pablo is specialized in Dutch and European VAT legislation. His indirect tax practice includes providing VAT advice (including managing compliance processes) in complex national and international VAT matters. Furthermore, he is experienced in performing due diligence reviews with respect to VAT related matters.

Pablo has a special focus on Real Estate, both VAT and Real Estate Transfer Tax (structuring of real estate funds, Self Storage, property developers) and the Financial Services Industry (financial service institutions, insurance companies and financial intermediaries and claims management companies). 

During his career at Deloitte, Pablo completed a Post Master Indirect Tax and a Master Course Real Estate at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 2009 Pablo has worked as Indirect Tax Manager for TNT at the global head office of TNT. During this period he was jointly responsible for the VAT position of all TNT companies. His activities included, providing VAT advice and practical VAT services to the Group's business and financial management and identifying indirect tax planning opportunities. Furthermore, the activities included the review of the quarterly worldwide VAT position and managing the VAT compliance process.
